چکیده

The study aims at isolating and identification of Burkholderia cepacia bacteria from clinical samples various pathological conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, burn, wound, sputum urine. present includes 280 collected patients suffering ulcer, cystic fibrosis, burns, sputum, wounds who attend Alsader Medical City Al-Hakim General Hospital during the period extended September 2020 to February 2021 ( men women ) with age groups between (1 -75) years. bacterial isolates were detected by classical molecular technique (PCR), where frequency among males 213 (79.2%) was more than that in female 67 (20.8%). distribution is made according group; it appears high for following 26.8% group (31-45) years male female; 22% 7.6% (1-15) female. results revealed 42/80 specimens total number are using 16SrRNA gene differentiate B. other (G-) bacteria, 30/80 recA differentiated complex.

development of different optical methods for determination of glucose using cadmium telluride quantum dots and silver nanoparticles

a simple, rapid and low-cost scanner spectroscopy method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and cdte/tga quantum dots as chromoionophore has been described. the detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of h2o2 on the cdte quantum dots (qds) photoluminescence.in this study glucose was determined by utilizing glucose...

Use of selective medium for Burkholderia cepacia isolation in respiratory samples from cystic fibrosis patients.

Burkholderia cepacia colonizes cystic fibrosis (CF) patients. We evaluated the impact of the use of a selective medium in the rate of B. cepacia recovery from respiratory samples of CF patients. During a 6-month period, respiratory samples were collected from 106 CF patients and cultivated on selective media including a B. cepacia selective medium. Confirmation of the identity of B. cepacia iso...

Isolation and Characterization of Burkholderia Cepacia Strains from Hospitalized Patients in the Hospitals of West Guilan Province

Abstract Background and Objective: Burkholderia cepacia complex (BCC) is a plant pathogen that is an important mortality factor in immune-compromised and hospitalized patients. We aimed to Isolate and Characterize the Burkholderia Cepacia Strains from Hospitalized Patients in the Hospitals of West Guilan Province. Material and Methods: This study was conducted on 90 saliva and blood ...

Burkholderia cepacia complex: clinical course in cystic fibrosis patients

BACKGROUND Pulmonary deterioration after B.cepacia complex (BCC) colonization has a heterogeneous pattern. The aim was to investigate the clinical outcome of BCC colonization in CF patients chronically colonized with P. aeruginosa. METHODS CF patients chronically colonized with P. aeruginosa were divided into three groups: intermittent (I), chronic (II) and no colonization (III) with BCC. Bod...

Identification of Burkholderia spp. in the clinical microbiology laboratory: comparison of conventional and molecular methods.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) predisposes patients to bacterial colonization and infection of the lower airways. Several species belonging to the genus Burkholderia are potential CF-related pathogens, but microbiological identification may be complicated. This situation is not in the least due to the poorly defined taxonomic status of these bacteria, and further validation of the available diagnostic as...
